It is further said, the cooperation between Telkom and BTB is to support the program of Bali ICT Island designed by Kandatel Bali in mid of 2008. And the most important thing is that this cooperation is not only for the interest of Telkom but also, together with BTB, able to improve tourism in Bali as the key tourism resort object in Indonesia and at the same time succeeding the Visit Indonesian Year 2009 program.
Meanwhile, Chairman of BTB, Ida Bagus Ngurah Adnyana, in his welcoming speech expressed his gratitude for the cooperation agreed between BTB and Telkom. BTB website, www.balitourismboard.org, as a media of tourism information in Bali is expected to be able to give information to the community either local or abroad about tourism potential available in Bali. Besides, this website is expected to be as a model for Tourism Board in other areas in developing tourism potential in their own areas. “Now the main constraint faced in other areas is limitation in web management and technical matters, hopefully Telkom, in those areas, is able to solve the constraint like in Bali, “ expected Ida Bagus Ngurah Adnyana.
Ida Bagus Ngurah Adnyana added, in order to be more powerful and communicative, this website is developed in several languages, among others, German, Japanese, Swedish and Russian complete with its mapping so that the information will be more complete, accurate and up to date. In the Bali andBeyond content which today is under the development step, each regional website like Lombok, Sulawesi, East Java and Kalimantan will be provided with link access so that tourism potential in those areas are able to indirectly be known by the people around the world through BTB website.
