Bali, May 3rd 2010 - TELKOM prove its commitment towards environmental conservation. Through the Consumer Services Unit, Denpasar Area, TELKOM participated in Mangrove Seeds Planting, in Serangan Island, Bali. More than 2500 Mangrove seeds was planted in those island. The event was held on Friday, April 30, 2010 in cooperation with the Agency of Woman Organization Cooperation (AWOC/BKOW), Bali Province.
Tree planting carried out to commemorate the 47th anniversary of BKOW. Present in this activity the Deputy Governor of Bali Province AA. Ngurah Puspayoga; Denpasar District Secretary, Rai Iswara; and Manager of the Consumer Service Unit, TELKOM Denpasar Area I Ketut Tedja Area. In addition there are 500 pupils, students, government officials, members of various organizations and people of Bali; who are involved in these activities. Previously, tree planting has been conducted in many locations in Bali, especially those with critical land.
Tree seedling planting is expected to motivate the younger generation to love the environment and be able to realize its mission of Bali Clean and Green. Therefore Tedja Ketut said that Telkom will continue to be committed to help realize this mission through Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
