Bandung, January 9, 2010 - Christmas will be more beautiful if we share the moments with others, like what was conducted by TELKOM Christian Community. 2009 TELKOM Chirstmas celebration was marked by doing social service through TELKOM Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programm by providing free medical treatment and provision of nutrition package for kids in Sekeloa District, Coblong Area, Bandung.
The social service was held in January 2009. The location was selected because of the condition of its society which was still lack of health facilities. TELKOM made a cooperation with Semadi, a Humanity and Justice Fondation which was consist of cross religion membership behind Bandung diocese, to provide free medical treatment facilities .
Head of Sekeloa District expressed his gratitude for TELKOM’s attention for carrying out the activities. The activities which were first conducted in his region, brought a lot of advantageous. He expected that such activities will be held again next time and he also expected that the rest of the existing drugs will be given to the local residents.
David Bangun as Head of 2009 TELKOM Chirstmas Celebration Committee, expressed his joy and his gratitude for being in the middle of Sekeloa Society. He also expected that it will be a sustainable activities from TELKOM.
For about 200 people come to get free medical treatment. It served by 3 Doctors and 4 Nurses. While nutrition packages were given to approximately 150 local children.
