In Bandung-TV, CSR Telkom launch "Bandung Green park"

BANDUNG, AUGUST 30, 2012, To fulfill a request from local TV station, Bandung-TV to have an outdoor interview about city parks, SGM-CDC Telkom, M. Ade Sulchi, made a response by being present in Taman Lansia (=a park for the old) located at Jalan Cisangkuy Bandung on Thursday (30/8), accompanied by Distribution Manager of Environment Establishment, Abuhari Suki, and Development Planning Manager, M. Atang Suwanda, and the interviewer was Ridwan Kamil from Bandung Clean Community.
The interview was done at the park which seemed not well maintained and not clean, the topic was about some improvement to city parks at Bandung area and Telkom participation in developing the city parks.

M. Ade Sulchi explained that principally Telkom was ready to support the government programs and who cared to create a “green” and comfortable atmosphere in the surroundings, in which some of the main parks in Bandung city area have been made through CSR Telkom such as Taman Pluto at the complex of Margahayu Raya of Southern Bandung, Taman Ganesha or  Ganesha Speedy Science Park at Northern Bandung, Taman Alun-alun at Central Bandung, Taman Alun-alun at Cimahi City, while an effort to create Bandung Go Green (“Comfortable”),  Telkom has successfully greened Punclut tourist park at Northern Bandung and improved the people’s living in that area by utilizing productive plants planted by Telkom, at Eastern  Bandung, Telkom has also built a Green Park by making use a land space of former thrash disposal location at Cicabe and Pasirimpun by planting various kinds of trees, and both locations have successfully transformed to be a city forest park able to simultaneously provide a clean water supply for the people in the surroundings.

A problem is that, what Telkom has done so far has less response and support from the local government, Telkom shall plant and Telkom shall maintain too, there is no balance, it is the local government together with its budget allocation and retribution that shall move to maintain, so a  “sustainable environment management” is really realized, he confirmed.
