CSR Telkom for Jatiluhur Eco-Tourism
Purwakarta, June 29, 2012, CSR Telkom again equipped eco-tourism and religious facilities at Jatiluhur dam area of District Purwakarta and maintained the ecosystem in that area having lasted for 45 years since the launching on August 25, 1967.
In cooperation with the organizer of Jatiluhur dam, Perum Jasa Tirta II, on Friday (29/6) CDC Telkom also developed some facilities supporting the Jatiluhur eco-tourism by CSR fund designated for providing religious facilities such as a mosque having an area of 100 m2 which launching made by SGM-CDC Telkom represented by Manager CD Area-II Jakarta-Banten, Jaenudin, accompanied by Head of Tourism Unit PJT-II.
Jaenudin in his speech confirmed that construction of religious facility was an implementation of Telkom care program, and at the same time accommodating some pillars in CSR like Culture of civility, environment and Public Service Obligation (PSO), all of which presented by Telkom to the community in the Jatiluhur dam area and anyone who wanted to get benefit from the facility provided in this area, in short, Telkom took part in developing eco-tourism in the dam along 12,000 km2 and he expected that the facility was maintained as good as possible and Telkom always kept on running its business more properly, more developing and improving, the result of which would be returned to the community in many forms, he said.
Besides constructing religious facility such as mosque, CSR Telkom also maintaining Jatiluhur dam area by planting productive trees like coconut trees, sukuntrees, and oak trees along the tourist location, also some fund to make boat roof with Telkom product label on it, and distribution of 4,000 nila fishes at the Jatiluhur dam area
