BANDUNG, MAY 23, 2012, Telkom’s concern to a gap in digitalization between teachers and students has made Telkom to bridge the problem by making such programs as Internet Goes to Teacher (IG2T), Sound Internet Training for Teachers and To Teachers We Dedicate (BGK) to teachers so they are able to use computer properly and maximally.

In the 6th performance in this year 2012, CDC Telkom have cooperated with Unit Corporate Communication Unit and Daily Republika in Jakarta on Wednesday (23/5) at Giri Gahana Hotel & Golf Course Jatinangor Sumedang performing a-2 day Internet training entitled To Teachers We Dedicate (BGK) in which the First Event in 2012 participated by 65 teachers of 2 areas in City of Bandung and District of Sumedang.

Attending the opening launch were Acting SGM-CDC Telkom, R. Gatot Rustamadji, Manager Marketing Regional-3 Bandung, Sony Budi Winarso, Manager Consumer Service Bandung Timur, H. Maman Agus Rokhman, Manager CD Area-3 West Java, Rusdi P. Idris, OM. Regional Communication West Java, Asep Tatang, and Vice Chairman of Republika Management, Arys Hilman, along Representative of Republika of West Java, Rahmat Santoso Basarah..

Following the welcome speech given by Vice Chairman of Daily Republika Management, Arys Hilman, Acting SGM-CDC, R. Gatot Rustamadji, explained that BGK was a result of cooperation between Telkom and Daily Republika as realization of their care and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), in a context to “Make the Nation Smart” as set forth in the Opening of UUD ’45, Telkom have concern to take part in the development of the community at all levels, and in the teaching and learning process, both teachers and students have morale responsibility to build strong character and foundation for our children, therefore, Telkom alongside Republika take an initiative to develop character and potential of the teachers to have vision and more knowledge from their students, we will get accustomed to the digital civilization in our life, so by the increase of the alumni and some generation of BGK, Telkom want to get all alumni BGK spread in many areas to unite in a Teachers Alumni with Character, said Gatot.

In 2-day training on Build Nation Smartness, teachers will be given material for motivation, ICT to teach theoretically as well as practically, popular writing, communication, SIAP On-line and creative process of each Republika and Telkom.
