CSR Telkom Partnership Pillar for Creative Economic Players

Bandung, Juli 14, 2012, CDC Telkom West Java Area, in the 57^th Cooperative Anniversary, took part in the Cooperative Fair 2012 held at Gasibu Bandung from July 14 to 18, 2012 involving not less than 978 participants from all over Indonesia offering multi products, craft, handmade, seminar, workshop, business meeting, financing expo and other activities of various communities.

Cooperative Fair 2012 launched by Governor of West Java together with Secretary of Cooperative Group and UMKM Ministry, Agus Muharam, was started with the report by Chairman of Cooperative Fair 2012 event.

The Chairman of Cooperative Fair event, Yaya Sunarya, reported that the Cooperative Fair performed since 2004 has successfully facilitate KUMKM players all over Indonesia to make business activity starting from exhibition, business contract, build business network and improve business vision. He expected that the community would be aware and proud of use of products proven to have assured quality.

The Governor Ahmad Heryawan, Lc (Aher) confirmed the importance of the event to motivate growth of cooperative activity in West Java area, in which the cooperative business in Indonesia started in West Java at the City of Tasikmalaya where the 1^st Cooperative Congress was held on July 12, 1947. “Cooperative in West Java should be more improved than other provinces in Indonesia,” based on the data in Cooperative Department and small micro enterprise in West Java province as of December 2011, number of cooperative groups in West Java had 23,848 units or improved compared to year 2010 at 22,091 units. Number of members to date at 4,505,205 people. Compared to total population of West Java currently, over 10% are members.

“The figure is very potential, so that it is not surprised if cooperative contribution is real in the structure of Gross Regional Domestic Product in West Java. The West Java Provincial Government then gave more support for cooperative and small and micro enterprise development ”, he said.

After the opening procession, a Satya Lencana badge was awarded to Chairwoman of West Java Batik Foundation, Hj, Sandy Yusuf, and other West Java figures.
