The Minister of Law and Human Right Launched BPHN Website and Sumatera Online |
Jakarta, April 3, 2008 - The Indonesian Minister of Law and Human Right, Andi Matalata launched The Website of National Law Maintaining Institution/Badan Pembinaan Hukum Nasional (BPHN) and e-Hukum Sumatra Online in Mercure Hotel, Ancol (4/1). The Launching took the same time with 50 Years BPHN Celebration, The Crier of 2008 as National Law Culture Improvement Day and the Opening Ceremony of Family Law Awareness/Keluarga Sadar Hukum (Kadarkum) National Competition. Head of BHPN akhmad Ramli, Executive General Manager Telkom Regional Division I Muhammad Awaluddin, General Directorate of Telecommunication and Information Application, Communication and Information Department, Cahyana Ahmadjayadi and more than 500 attendants attended to the occupation.
In that opportunity, Awaluddin made a statement that TELKOM had a responsibility to support government programs through developmental activities. With the vision, “Sumatra, Digital Island”, TELKOM wants to decrease digital gap in Indonesian society.
Meanwhile, Andi Matalata said, to create a law educated society would take a very long time, because there were so much factors that influenced, one of them was culture. Information and Communication Technology existence can accelerate it.
BPHN website, which is built above on the cooperation between TELKOM and General Directorate of Telecommunication and Information Application, is wished to be a BPHN media for simply spreading law information to the society faster than before.
