Telkom was Elected as The Leader of Indonesia Satellite Association
Jakarta, December 23, 2011 - Dani Indra Widjanarko who currently serves as GM Satellite Division Telkom, elected as Chairman of Indonesia Satellite Association (ASSI) in the period 2011-2014 in ASSI Extraordinary Meeting of Members held at the Hotel Intercontinental Jakarta, December 22, 2011.

Dani Indra’s election as Chairman of ASSI again confirmed the earlier tradition in which Telkom was asked as the top leadership within the organization. Dani Indra continued the position previously held by Tonda Priyanto for two consecutive periods, from 2005 to 2008 and from 2008 to 2011. Tonda currently serves as SGM Learning Center Telkom.

The members of ASSI is included the entire enterprise satellite operators, satellite-related industries, end users, as well as professionals in business and satellite technology. ASSI was founded by four major satellite operators Indonesia, PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk., PT. Indosat, Tbk., PT. Pacific Satellite Nusantara and PT. Media Citra Indostar based on the Minister of Communications Decree No. 63/1998 dated September 28,1998.

Chairman elected, in his first speech said that ASSI which is a national satellite industry organization is expected to increase the value of the satellite industry, both at national and regional levels. Dani Indra will focused on two things, generate the national satellite industry and secure the resources of national satellites.

The chairman will be assisted by a general secretary, treasurer and chairman of the field of regulation. General Secretary of ASSI position held by representatives from PSN, Yulrama Indra, the Treasurer by Benny Hazan from Indosat and the Head of Regulation by Muharzi Hasril from MCI.
