Jakarta, April 14th, 2010 - TELKOM signed a telecommunication cooperation agreement with PT INTI and was witnessed by Minister of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Mustafa Abubakar. The signing was undertaken by TELKOM CEO Rinaldi Firmansyah and President Director of PT INTI Irfan Setiaputra in SOEs Ministry office (4/14). Also present on the occasion, Deputy State Minister for SOEs Sahala Lumban Gaol, BI Deputy Governor Budi Rochadi, Director IT & Supply TELKOM Indra Utoyo and the Director of NWS Ermady Dahlan.
TELKOM and PT INTI cooperate in conducting primary copper access network modernization TELKOM into optical fiber access networks. Modernization aims to realize the Next Generation Network (NGN) and as a form of cooperation between telecommunications companies. There is also cooperation in the procurement of office equipment, dataprocessing equipment rental and in the maintenace of telecommunication devices.
State Minister for SOEs, Mustafa Abubakar said that the cooperation of TELKOM and PT INTI is an implementation of the agenda of the Ministry of SOEs on SOE Synergy. This synergy helps achieve the vision of the Ministry of SOEs, namely increasing the role of SOEs to improve people's welfare based on the corporate mechanism. SOE Ministry has recorded more than 30 sinergy among SOEs until now. Synergies expected to be triggering the rise of domestic industry and a milestone in the growth of national economy.
