Jakarta, March 12, 2008 - Telkom, for the several time, obtains Health and Savety Work Management System (Sistem Manajemen Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja/SMK3) and Zero Accident Award. Indonesia Vice President, Yusuf Kalla gives the award to Telkom Senior Leaders and another hundred companies in the Vice President Palace, Jakarta (12/3). Also attended, The Indonesian Minister of Labor and Transmigration, Erman Suparno and The Minister of Internal Affairs, Margiyanto. Jusuf Kalla in his explanation says that health problems and savety works are two important things and needed to be understand by the whole companies in Indonesia. It very determines job and company sustainability. The SMK3 and Zero Accident Award is expected to motivate all of companies in order to give their attention for the health and savety of their labor. In 2007, the amount of accident in work declines 30 percent to 65.000 cases, whereas in 2006 accident in work is about 95.000 cases. In 2008, the government’s target is accident in work declines 50 percent or only 35.000 cases.
