Bandung, 26 Oktober 2011 - In October 23, Telkom always celebrates its birthday. On that date, Telkom gave awards to its business partners. Therefore, on the 155 anniversary of Telkom, Telkom's management invited 25 distribution channel partners from all over Indonesia, which are considered to be very instrumental in the development of Telkom's business during the year 2010-2011. The partners present at the anniversary ceremony held at Telkom Head Office, Bandung on Monday, October 24, 2011.
The ceremony was also attended by the board of directors, senior leaders, Veteran of the Young Generation of Post Telephone and Telegraph (AMPTT), pensioners and employees of Telkom and Telkomsel located in Bandung. The recipients of internal awards such as the Customer Service Award, Best Staff, Best Manager, Healthiest Family, Champion Award, Best Innovator and Best Unit also attended the event. This year management also presented awards to 82 employees, 25 business partners as well as 11 best units.
Meanwhile, Telkom CEO Rinaldi Firmasyah in his speech mentioned about Telkom’s plan for Telkom-3 satellite launch in early 2012. "Telkom-3 satellite is the ninth since SKSD palapa satellite, which was launched in 1976 and owned by Telkom. Telkom-3 satellite will strengthen the network by addressing the needs of the unreached channels and terrestrial fiber optic network so as to further improve the quality and capacity of information and communication technology infrastructure in Indonesia. We hope that this satellite will be soon launched and can work well to strengthen the Telkom-owned devices that can provide better services."
