Telkom Registration for Single Band Handset 1900 MHz in Jabodetabek, West Java and Banten Runs Well

Bandung, July 4th, 2007 – Till Wednesday, July 4th 2007, more than 16.000 Telkom Flexi’s customers in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi), West Java and Banten province which still uses single band handset 1900 MHz come to Telkom office for registering their phones. “Generally, this registration and compensation runs good,” said Eddy Kurnia Public, Public and Marketing Communication PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk.

Jabar and Banten costumers still dominate with amount not less than 10.000 register, while in Jabodetabek area 6.000 register. Registration and compensation for handset Flexi 1900 MHz owner launch since June 18th and will end at July 22, 2007.

Mentioned about amount customers which has registered only 4 percent from 400.000 customers which still use handset single band 1900 MHz, Eddy Kurnia said majority owner has changed its handset by themsleft. Generally, terminal or handset single band are early Flexi Home costomers.

Entering mid year of 2007, Flexi customers reach to 5 millions. This means, Flexi stand as market leader in fixed wireless access service with market share about 67 percent.
