Jakarta, December 14, 2011 – PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk (Telkom) is ready to succeed sports event performance for the disabled in South-East Asian Nations named ”6th ASEAN Para Games 2011”. In the event of ”6th ASEAN Para Games 2011” that will be held in Solo, from December 15 to 22, 2011, Telkom as ICT Solution Partner provides facilities of voice communication, data, picture and other supporting services to run the sports event smoothly. Head of Corporate Communication and Affair, Eddy Kurnia, explained that in the 6th ASEAN Para Games 2011 event, Telkom helps prepare various voice and date telecommunication service required.
“We are ready 24 hours helping all participants and the committee in many locations and arena, including communication facilities to the media/press both domestic and worldwide so that the sports event is successfully performed," added Eddy Kurnia. Telkom’s support in the 6th ASEAN Para Games 2011 event is to provide high speed internet service with capacity 40 Mbps at the locations of Main Press Center, Athlete Village and Sub Press Center; 32 Speedy services with speed 3 Mbps together with modem wifi at the locations of Sriwedari Stadium, Manahan Stadium, Sritex Arena Sports Center, Pendopo Balaikota City Hall, Nyi Ageng Karang Gymnasium, Gedung Wanita Manahan Sports Center, Tirtomoyo Manahan Aquatic Center, Bengawan Sports Center, Diamond Convention Center, Manahan Gymnasium, Manahan Tennis Court. Telkom also provides telephone and fax facilities at all locations and 1 unit of SNG (Satellite News Gathering) to support Press Center at Manahan Stadium.
These telecommunications facilities are expected to help 400 reporters who will report the ASEAN Para Games event. All facilities of internet, telephone, fax and SNG have begun to start from December 12, and will end on December 22, 2011. Telkom’s support to the ASEAN Para Games 2011event participated by 11 countries, according to Eddy Kurnia, aside from succeeding the event also a part of Telkom’s care to deploy the disabled. “The trust given to Telkom, not only make us proud but also give motivation to us to give the best solution for the success of the ASEAN Para Games 2011 so as to be well kown worldwide,” said Eddy Kurnia.
