Surabaya, July 7th, 2007 – PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) held Sport & Art Competion from 8th to 14th July, 2007 in Kediri, East Java. Thousands Telkom employee jointed this event, which aim to bulid spirit of competitive and togetherness among employees. Various sport event and art and also corporate social responsibility program highlited this three yearly event.
Vice President Public & Marketing Communication Telkom, Eddy Kurnia said that this event held in Brawijaya Stadium and will be officialy open by Ministry of Information and Communication Muhammad Nuh. On the officialy opening ceremony about 10.000 participant will join in happy walk. While Telkom Group product exhibition will held at the same time.
Telkom also will give donation to Al Islah Islamic Boarding Scholl at Rungkut, Surabaya and Lirboyo Islamic Boarding Schooll. “This is what we call implementation of Telkom corporate social responsibility,” said Eddy Kurnia.
Meanwihle, said Eddy, this event also for highlighted of 1128 year City of Kediri anniversary on 27th July 2007. “That why we choosed this small city for this event,” Eddy said. The other reason, is Kediri is growing up city, through this event Telkom willing to maintain and increase market share in this city. That way wel also held Telkom’s product exhibition. “We think event such this is a good opportunity to communicate our excellent product to the citizen,” Eddy adding.
Telkom also hope this corporate event will become interesting attraction to all Kediri citizen. So on clossing ceremony, famous rock band “Padi” will be performed at stage. “We hope Kediri Padi’s fans will come to watch their favorite group band,” said Eddy. He also said. “Thanks to all Kediri citizen for their hospiltality,”Eddy adding.
