Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (Mitratel) was established in the year of 1995 originated from the Telkom KSO partners in Kalimantan region,  Dayamitra Malindo is owned by several private companies of national and foreign private sector. In the course of corporate ownership has changed several times and finally in 2004 the stock company fully owned by PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero), Tbk and officially renamed
PT. Dayamitra Telecommunications, which is commonly known as Mitratel
by Telkom Indonesia as a corporate brand.
 
Since the end of 2007, Mitratel transforming the business by starting to enter the business of providing telecommunications infrastructure in the form of one or the provision of a telecommunications tower (tower providers) to meet the needs of the placement of base stations for telecommunication operators in all parts of Indonesia. Currently the company has made ??the following provision of a telecommunications tower infrastructure, for some telecom operators as follows:  PT. Cellular Telecommunication, PT. XL Axiata, Tbk, PT. Indosat, Tbk, PT. Axis Telekom Indonesia, PT. Hutchison CP Telecommunications, PT. Bakrie Telecom, Tbk, PT. Smartfren Telecom, Inc., Division of Telkom Flexi.
 
Mitratel have a wide range of businesses spread across Indonesia including Greater Jakarta, West Java, Banten, East Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Batam, Riau, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Sulawesi South, and Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku up to Papua.
